American Gauntlet ARCs | Everything You Need to Know

Calling all ARC readers! The release of my upcoming novel, American Gauntlet, is right around the corner, and I will be sending advanced copies to book reviewers to read and review ahead of pub day. If you have a book review platform (think Instagram, TiKTok, YouTube) and you're looking to snag an early copy of American Gauntlet, keep reading to find out everything you need to know about ARC sign-ups!

ARC Sign-Up Details

ARC sign-ups will open on Tuesday, January 31, and will be available right here on my website. I'll post an update on Instagram with a link to the sign-up form as well.

Will ARCs be Physical Copies or Ebooks?

I am enrolled in Amazon's KDP Select Program, which prohibits me from sending out e-copies of my book in advance; this means all ARC copies will be physical books, so if you are selected as an ARC reader, I will personally mail an advanced copy to you for you to keep. For this reason, I have to be very selective with who I choose to send ARC copies to. As an indie author, I pay for each ARC copy plus the cost of shipping to each reader, so as much as I would love to send a copy to every person who submits an ARC interest form, it's just not feasible for me.

On the plus side, since I am part of of the KDP Select Program, that means American Gauntlet will be available on Kindle Unlimited, so if you are not selected as an ARC reader but you have a Kindle Unlimited subscription, you can read it for free after release date! Of course, you can always purchase a physical or ebook copy when it releases as well—and I'll love you for it!

What am I Committing to as an ARC Reader?

As I mentioned above, I pay for every ARC copy (plus shipping costs!) to each individual ARC reader. Trust me when I say this is a significant investment. If you are selected as an ARC reader, you are committing to reading American Gauntlet before its release. As an indie author, I rely heavily on ARC readers to help spread the word about my book and help me reach new readers.

In addition to reading the book, I ask that you post your honest review to Goodreads and post about the book on your review platform if you enjoyed it. If you are unsure if you'll be able to read the book by or around release date, I gently ask that you skip signing up as an ARC reader and read the book after its release instead!

Do you pay for reviews?

No, I never pay for influencers/reviewers to read my book because #ethics! This ensures that all reviews for my books are honest.

How else can I help support you before pub day?

I am not exaggerating when I say every little bit of support helps me out as an indie author! This can be as simple as marking American Gauntlet as "Want to Read" on Goodreads, following me on Instagram, and liking/commenting/sharing my posts. Speaking of pub day... (psst, read this!)

If you follow me on Instagram, you'll know that I originally announced the release date of American Gauntlet as April 18, 2023. The editing of this book took much longer than I anticipated, but I didn't want to rush through it just so I could stick to my original release date. I want to put the best possible version of this book into your hands, so I have decided to push the date to June 14, 2023.

When will you send out ARC copies?

With a pub day of June 14, I will be sending out ARC copies beginning to mid-May, giving you ample time to read it ahead of the release!

AG is an adventure romance, and some of the tropes you'll find are rivals to lovers, slow burn, and forced proximity! This book is a clean romance, so it does not have any explicit sexual content (AKA: smut), but I promise you'll find all the *chef's kiss* tension, chemistry, and sizzle you want from a romance!
